Hey! Middle (or Soon-to-Be Middle) School Students!

Are you ready for the organizational challenges of middle school? Can your work management skills handle a middle school workload? Maybe you're already in middle school, and you're struggling to keep up with the homework, projects, assignments, and other demands on your time. If so, you're not alone! Lots of middle school students (even really smart ones) struggle to manage the workload.

Why is that?

Well, for one thing, middle school is really different from elementary school. In elementary school you probably dropped your backpack at the classroom door in the morning, then ran off to the playground for a quick game of handball, or to chill with friends before school started. You probably stayed in one classroom for most of the day, and had one -- maybe two teachers. Classes were smaller. You didn't have many responsibilities. Ahh.. those happy, carefree elementary school days! Life was soooo easy!

WAAAKE UUP!!!!!!!! It's time for Middle School!

Middle school can be hectic! In middle school, you'll have lots of different teachers, each with their own homework and test schedules, deadlines, due dates and expectations. You (along with books, binders and other stuff) will move from classroom to classroom during the day -- up to six times! Papers and assignments must be turned in on time, and rubrics followed carefully. You're expected to keep up with assigned reading and participate in class every day. There are after-school clubs, activities, and sports practices. Whoa! There's a lot to keep track of!

How can a middle school kid keep track of all of the assignments, deadlines, responsibilities and other stuff?
