SOS (Student Organizational Skills) Classes and Parent Workshops are now available! 

Thanks to the Irvine Public Schools Foundation's ACE (After School Classroom Enrichment) Program, SOS classes are available to all 6th, 7th and 8th grade students in the Irvine Public School District. Check with your ACE site coordinator about 2009/2010 class schedules.

--Canyon View School -- SOS classes available Spring  2010. Contact Darcy Angel to enroll.

--Plaza Vista Middle School -- contact your ACE coordinator for the 2010 SOS class schedule.

--Brywood Elementary School --  Classes begin Feb 2010.  Contact Kathy Wong to enroll. (Limited to 6th grade students.)

NEW! S.O.S. PARENT AND TEACHER PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOPS

Would your Orange, Riverside or San Diego County school or Parent or Teacher Association like to offer an SOS WORKSHOP? In this dynamic two hour workshop, parents and teachers of middle (or soon-to-be middle) school students learn practical techniques and strategies to help students handle the organizational challenges of middle school. Attendees learn how to work with their student to organize a Goof-Proof Binder, use a planner, successfully manage a group and long term project, self-advocate in middle school, use a rubric, understand grade averaging, remember their daily responsibilities and much, much more! 

Workshop Time: 2.5 hours
